My love for teaching art has come full circle. After years in the classroom, I’ve found a new rhythm sharing creativity with our local community through watercolor workshops and classes. These days, you’ll find me teaching exclusively at The SHAC, our vibrant neighborhood art center, where I lead both adult watercolor workshops and creative sessions for kids like Homeschool Studio.
Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or returning to a creative practice, my classes are designed to be welcoming, approachable, and fun. We explore color, texture, and technique—often inspired by nature, the seasons, and the joy of experimenting. One of the best things I hear again and again?

Paint Your Pet
October 23, 6:30 - 8 PM
Unleash your creativity and celebrate your furry (or feathered!) friend in this fun, family-friendly Paint Your Pet class, taught by local artist Abigail Powers! Using watercolor paints, this class is perfect for all ages and skill levels—no prior painting experience needed.
Simply provide a clear image of your pet, and we’ll guide you through an easy, approachable method to create a vibrant, pop-art-inspired 8" x 10" masterpiece. Abigail will provide step-by-step instructions to ensure everyone walks away with a colorful and unique tribute to their beloved animal.
You must provide a clear 8X10 photo of your pet. Please email this to abigailleighdesigns@gmail.com no later than 3 days prior to class. Put "pet" in the subject line and make sure to include the name you registered under.

Sea Glass & Watercolor Workshop
November 11th, 6:30pm
Join us for a festive evening of creativity at our Sea Glass & Watercolor Holiday Workshop! Open to ages 10 and up, this class is perfect for anyone looking to make something unique and meaningful this holiday season.
You’ll create two 5” x 7” holiday artworks, combining sea glass and watercolor to design pieces like cheerful Christmas trees and wreaths.
FRAMES ARE NOT INCLUDED. All other supplies are provided—just bring yourself (and maybe a friend!) for a night of fun, creativity, and holiday spirit. Feel free to bring your own beverages to sip while you create!

Wine & Watercolor
December 11th, 6:30pm
Unwind, sip, and paint at our festive Holiday Wine & Watercolor Workshop! This adult class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore watercolor in a fun and relaxed setting.
We’ll be working with pre-drawn holiday-themed designs (think candy canes, trees, stockings, and Santa!) so you can focus on learning basic watercolor techniques without the pressure of drawing. You’ll complete one 8” x 10” and one 5” x 7” piece of holiday art to take home and enjoy.
Prefer to draw your own? That option will be available too!
All art supplies are included—just bring your creativity and your favorite wine (BYOB). No alcohol included.
