Join me at the MSU Spring Arts & Crafts Show, held just outside the Student Union on campus! This wonderful outdoor show is the perfect way to kick off the season and takes place alongside the East Lansing Fine Art Show, making it a full weekend of art and creativity.
The show runs Saturday from 9 AM–5 PM and Sunday from 10 AM–4 PM. I’ll be set up right on Grand River—stop by to say hello and browse my latest work!

A signature Michigan tradition, Art In The Park returns for another incredible year—now in its 45th year—bringing together over 400 artists from across the country.

The Ann Arbor Art Fair is one of the most iconic art events in the country, drawing nearly half a million visitors each July for a vibrant three-day celebration of creativity.

I’m thrilled to be part of the Annual MSU Winter Arts & Crafts Show, a beloved Michigan State University tradition and one of the most popular seasonal art events in the region.
Hosted by the University Activities Board (UAB), this two-day show features over 125 talented makers and draws more than 8,000 visitors each year. The event focuses exclusively on high-quality, handmade goods—no resell or wholesale items—making it the perfect spot to find heartfelt holiday gifts and unique treasures for the season.
All vendor booth fees support the UAB, a student-led organization that designs and hosts free events to foster community and connection among MSU students.

I’m excited to be part of the Elf Shelf Arts & Crafts Show, hosted by the Troy Women’s Association. This long-running annual event has become one of the largest and most beloved holiday craft shows in southeastern Michigan.
Held the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Troy High School, Elf Shelf features over 200 booths filled with handcrafted goods from talented makers. It’s a wonderful opportunity to shop local and find unique gifts for the season.
Proceeds from the show support the Troy Women’s Association’s community efforts, including local charities, school projects, youth programs, and scholarships for both high school and adult women.

MSU Winter Arts and Craft Show
WHAT IS THE MSU ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW?
The Annual Arts and Craft Shows are large fundraiser for the University Activities Board (UAB). All proceeds from booth fees go directly UAB. UAB’s goal is to provide opportunities for students to build connections, create community, and a sense of belong at MSU through fun and engaging events designed and implemented by our UAB Student Coordinators. Our fundraisers allow us to offer these events at low-cost, or more often free, to MSU students. Our Arts and Crafts Shows are also beloved community traditions.

Elf Shelf features 200 booths of crafters who make a variety of handcrafted items. Crafters must complete an application form and be juried to be accepted for the show. Refer to the documents below for more information including jury requirements.

Watercolor workshop anyone? I loved teaching art to my students during my years in education and recently I have found the love again through our local community art center. So, when I was approached about teaching a watercolor workshop at Farmington Brewing Company, I jumped at the opportunity. Please join me Thursday, November 21st from 6 pm to 8 pm in the tap room for some fun holiday inspired watercolor painting. Don’t worry if you know nothing about watercolor! That’s what I am here for. Everyone will leave with at least one masterpiece. Since starting these classes, the most repeated feedback is…”That was so relaxing!” So stop by after a long day and learn to paint with us!

Never done this before? No worries. Kalin Sheick, owner of Sweetwater Floral, will be your guide through this holly-jolly adventure. With her expertise, you'll be crafting wreaths like a pro in no time.

My love for teaching art has come full circle. After years in the classroom, I’ve found a new rhythm sharing creativity with our local community through watercolor workshops and classes. These days, you’ll find me teaching exclusively at The SHAC, our vibrant neighborhood art center, where I lead both adult watercolor workshops and creative sessions for kids like Homeschool Studio and Teen Studio.
Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or returning to a creative practice, my classes are designed to be welcoming, approachable, and fun. We explore color, texture, and technique—often inspired by nature, the seasons, and the joy of experimenting. One of the best things I hear again and again?
